How to get started with Social Selling
Some of the fastest growing B2B companies in India are building their entire pipeline through LinkedIn. What’s your excuse if you are in B2B sales whose buyers are on LinkedIn – and you are NOT into social selling? Here’s how to get started:
1. Create content that you feel excited to write about. It should also help your target audience in some way. Taking the first step and getting started is where 99% of us fail. You can always start by writing for yourself. From there, create anything that you think your buyer will find useful in their work. And if that ties back to your brand – even better – but it’s alright to do just 1 of the 3 initially.
2. Don’t compare self with others. Rants / personal stories /career lessons get the largest likes but might not cut any ice with your buyers. You are competing with yourself to get started & posting regularly.
3. Started posting regularly? Great! However, that is only 25% of the job done. Finding and connecting with buyers; getting your post in front of them; and getting them to chat with you is the remainder of the job.
4. If nothing clicks, you can always consider seeking a coach/outsourcing it.
