Salute to all Sales Enablement professionals
A shout-out to all my friends doing Sales Enablement. Enabling Sales is one of the most difficult jobs in the whole wide world.
- You have to be a friend, advisor, supplicant, policeman, judge & enforcer – to many all at the same time.
- You run the risk of being the fall guy if they fail & ‘just doing your job’ if they succeed.
- Its getting the big cats – the sales leaders to jump through the hoops in perfect synchronicity while ensuring that the music never stops.
- You have to plan ahead for next year’s targets; keep counting till the last deal is captured in the last moment of the quarter; get up early next morning to present to the board.
- You need to be on the top of CRM and all sales-force automation; align with the Marketing, Finance, Tax & Legal folks.
