Why its time to be unscripted, honest, & raw – & dare one say a bit ‘bitchy’ in your Social media communication?

It probably started in 2013 when the then T-Mobile CEO John Legere junked his written down script at the CES show when the audience asked what was on his mind.

In the heat of the moment, he decided to do something that made not just his PR handlers but his competition wince. He said things from his heart, why customers hate telcos. – talking about what he really felt about his industry, its malpractices & his company.

Over time he ended up repositioning T-Mobile as the ‘un-carrier’ & also transformed his personal brand.

We often find too many LinkedIn posts from senior corporate leaders too perfect, too goody-goody
– as if they are airbrushed by their PR team.

Time to change! Social media gives us the power to bypass PR & build an honest brand!

We should not make a habit of being a prophet of doom & gloom – but an honest
rant once in a while does work wonders for sure!
