What if Amitabh Bachchan followed you on Twitter? Psst… he might be doing it!

What would you do if Amitabh Bachchan were to follow you on Twitter? This is not a clickbait.

The Big B who has 32.9 Million followers is suddenly following 1487 profiles on Twitter. Majority of these additions are believed to have happened in the last week.  If you are a tweep of some standing and the Big B suddenly follows you – while celebs of much less standing don’t – whose post will you look forward to, comment-on & re-share the most going forward?

And for those of us who haven’t been graced with the honour of Amitji following us, & aren’t following him, wouldn’t we be keen to follow him in case this inspires him to follow us? That’s the power of virality in social that Bachchanji might be wittingly/unwitting tapping into.

And my bet is the grand marketer that he is – its deliberate. The Big B was one of the first mega stars to blog; and he’s the megastar in the Thought Leadership business.
